Neurosurgeons and researchers needed visuals that were surgically accurate yet clear enough for textbooks, journals, and operating-room teaching—without losing anatomical truth in oversimplification.

Working directly with Barrow’s leading neurosurgeons, we architect precise, full-color illustrations that map complex brain pathways, resection techniques, and microvascular anatomy. By synthesizing raw data from human imaging (CT, MRI), intraoperative photos, and direct surgical feedback, we ensure residents and attending physicians can envision exactly what they will encounter in the OR.

Beyond the textbook, our visual contributions span high-impact clinical research, including 41 unique journal illustrations and featured cover art. Each piece is engineered to bridge the gap between raw surgical data and intuitive anatomical understanding, ensuring complex pathologies are immediately "readable" at a glance.

The New Standard in Temporal Anatomy

Currently in production with Thieme, this comprehensive textbook features 86 specialized illustrations defining the next era of surgical approaches. Collaborating closely with Drs. Tayebi Meybodi, Smith, Lawton, and Preul, we translated complex microsurgical nuances into a definitive visual atlas for the global neurosurgical community.

Structural Clarity & Didactic Layering

Beyond the initial render, the true strength of a surgical illustration lies in its communicative precision. This series demonstrates the critical transition from foundational base-art to a finalized didactic system—integrating directional flow, specialized color-coding, and focal highlights to effortlessly guide the surgeon’s eye through complex procedural steps.
